Mary Jane Payne Vows To Take KC Spinelli’s ECCW Women’s Championship This Saturday

(January 30, 2012) -  North Starz had the chance to speak with Portland, Oregon’s Mary Jane Payne as she is in final preparations for her upcoming ECCW Women’s Championship match against KC Spinelli this Saturday in Vancouver. Payne describes herself as basically the “Manager of Greatness” and she will pull out all the stops to win.

Payne has won championship gold before in her career and is very confident that she will destroy Spinelli and take her belt. As far as Payne is concerned she will outsmart Spinelli each step of the way and when the time is right Spinelli will get hit by a second rope Bull Dog or X Factor and it will be lights out for the champion and for her title reign as well.

North Starz: Thank you for talking the time out of your schedule especially as you prepare for your big championship match this Saturday again KC Spinelli. First off I’d like to ask you some questions to allow the fans the opportunity to learn about your background.  What got you into wrestling?

Mary Jane Payne: Well I watched wrestling a bit as a kid but I never thought I could do something like that until I was 18 and met Pat and Chuck. I saw them at training with Colonel Debeers and Buddy Rose and knew that I needed to do it too! The very next week I got in the ring for the first time. The passion begins. . .

 

North Starz: Wow that is quit some talented people that you learned from. In your opinion what are some of the highlights of your career thus far?

Mary Jane Payne: Well, just recently I got to work with Fit Finlay, my team got the better of him! Finlay was great and I hope he returns to DOA. I have also worked with other great talents such as. . . Adam Peirce, The Illuminate, Paynefully Large and Nate the Great, just to name four or so.

North Starz: Having researched your in and out of ring tactics I must say there have been many instances where you have outright broke the rules and acted very disrespectful as well. What do you have to say about how you conduct yourself inside and outside of the ring?

Mary Jane Payne: Well fyi. . . I don’t cheat, I win! And that goes for every wrestler I am ‘involved’ with. You better treat me with respect or else because Mary Jane ALWAYS conducts herself like a lady and would NEVER break the sacred rules of wrestling.

 

North Starz: Oh my well I apologize if I offended you. Um . . . You have a huge ECCW Women’s Championship match against the reigning champ KC Spinelli on Feb 4th at the Russian Community Centre in Vancouver, BC. What are your thoughts about this huge opportunity?

Mary Jane Payne: Well my thoughts are that I am going to win and look good while I do it! I have a lot of support on my side as well because I was brought in as part of The Corporation. I was invited into ECCW by my new man, Nick Price and just because he was seriously injured this past Friday doesn’t mean I am not still in full support of our crew.

 

North Starz: You have won championships before so you know what it takes to make it to the top. How have you trained to get ready for Spinelli? Is there anything special you have done to get ready for this match?

Mary Jane Payne: I have been spending a lot of time talking with my new Canadian friends and they assure me that I have nothing to worry about this Saturday. They have my back and I have their front.

North Starz: I see, well can you tell the fans what you know about KC Spinelli and what are your thoughts about her?

Mary Jane Payne: Well, I know that up in Canada people love her and I know that I have the entire ECCW company behind me winning this Saturday, so I don’t really care what Spinelli is bringing because my men are bigger and badder than whatever she has in her corner!

 

North Starz: You are obviously very confident going into this match. What is your plan and how do you see this match ending?

Mary Jane Payne: Well obviously I see me kicking KC’s butt all over the arena in Vancouver until I pin her ’1,2,3′ in the middle of the ECCW ring and become the new ECCW women’s champion. I am totally ready to be the ECCW Women’s Champion! Gold attracts to me. . . I will win on Saturday! My men and I will make sure that happens!

 

North Starz: Oh really? Well if KC Spinelli was here face to face with you right now what would you say to her?

Mary Jane Payne: I would tell Spinelli to watch her back because if I have my way, she won’t be leaving Vancouver with the ECCW Women’s title!
