Hot off the heels of her impressive tag team win that saw her pin the Shimmer Champion Cheerleader Melissa at Femmes Fatales XII. LuFisto was undoubtedly one of the very best participants during this past fight season as she had fantastic matches in the UK at Bellatrix, in Chicago for Shimmer and at Smash in Toronto.  North Starz wants to congratulate LuFisto on these mpressive achievements!

On October 26th, 2013, in Montreal, Canada, NCW held Femmes Fatales XIII. This event demonstrated women’s wrestling at it’s best! Between melody and chaos, this video shows the desire of these women to fight and earn their place where they belong and where they are meant to be because they aren’t divas, they are pro wrestlers!

On Saturday October 26th from the Centre St. Barthelemy in Montreal, Canada, NCW Femmes Fatales hosted Femmes Fatales XIII.  This was an action packed sold event with a mixture of global talent.  Tensions were high as the Main Event of the evening saw a carry over  of the fireworks that took place at the Shimmer tapings the prior week between LuFisto, Cheerleader Melissa and Mercedes Martinez. However this time LuFisto would have help from her friend and tag team partner Sweet Cherrie.

The Main Event of Femmes Fatales XIII was indeed just that as it was one of the most action packed, vicious and ruthless fights I had ever seen. The stipulation was simple the match was a No Disqualification and Anything Goes contest until one team would stand victorious. Would it be LuFisto and Sweet Cherrie or would it be the Shimmer Champion Cheerleader Melissa and the NCW Femmes Fatales Champion Mercedes Martinez?

Once the combatants were in the ring staring across at each other you could feel the electricity in the air.  This had all of the aspects of a big fight feel and having covered several World Championship boxing matches I would know.  Almost immediately after the bell rang the fight spilled outside of the ring.  LuFisto would grab Melissa by the legs and smash her sideways into the steel guard rail head and shoulder first.  This would be followed up by Martinez being whipped hard back first into the railing. The Triple Threat Match between Quebec’s Angie Skye, Christina Von Eerie and Kimber Lee took place before the Main Event. Kimber Lee stepped back refusing to start the match until she had properly stretched. This prompted Skye to attack Lee and then Von Eerie would join in on the action setting up some nice double team moves. However, Skye and Von Eerie would soon turn on each other and would drive fists and head butts into each other as they stood toe to toe mid ring. Throughout the match Kimber Lee was able to hit some very impressive moves but just couldn’t set up a pinning combination. In the end though it was Von Eerie who had Kimber Lee down for the count but Angie Skye snuck in behind her and rolled her up and got the cheap three count win out of nowhere. After the match Skye and Von Eerie brawled all the way to the back while Kimber Lee was regaining her senses. The dispute between Skye and Von Eerie is far from over though. (continue reading…)

Mademoiselle Rachelle unveiled her latest acquisition Jody D’Milo who took on Quebec’s Mary Lee Rose. Mary Lee Rose had d’Milo in trouble on several occasions but Mademoiselle Rachelle would interject herself and the advantage would switch in D’Milo’s favour. D’Milo looked to have Rose in serious trouble and set her up for her Vader Bomb but Rose moved out of the way and D’Milo crashed and burned. Rose would go on to take the fight to D’Milo and looked to be on her way to victory but slipped in a cheap shot and started to kick and stomp Rose in the corner. When the referee tried to break it up D’Milo threw him to the mat which prompted an immediate disqualification. D’Milo wasn’t finished though as she went out to stomp away at an injured Rose for several more minutes until finally more officials came out to break things up. (continue reading…)

The Lumberjill Strap Match between Portia Perez and the “Pink Flash” Kira was much anticiapted by the large Montreal crowd. There was a lot of bad blood between these two and this feud had to be settled. Portia Perez looked off though as she didn’t want to get into the ring complaining about several perceived injustices as she walked amongst the crowd. Just as Perez was ready to leave the building she was cut off by her fellow Ontario natives Leah Von Dutch, Kaitlin Diemond and Xandra Bale who grabbed onto Perez and fired her under the bottom ropes.

Both women exchanged the advantage several times but it was Kira who was able to get her hands on the covenant strap and proceeded to whip away at Perez. Perez tried to bail out but was caught by the Lumberjills and tossed back into the ring. Perez was able to get her hands on the strap after a cheap shot and used it to whip and choke Kira. Pat Laprade and Paul “The Butcher” Vachon entered the ring and was introduced to the crowd who gave them a large ovation as NCW Femmes Fatales paid homage to both Vivian and Luna Vachon, two pioneers of Quebec female wrestling. LuFisto and Sweet Cherrie came out and presented plaques to Vachon. Vachon thanked the crowd and started to make a speech but was rudely interrupted by Mercedes Martinez who taunted the Quebec tag team who she was facing in the main event. As LuFisto and Sweet Cherrie had Martinez backing up it became apparent that this was a set up as Cheerleader Melissa ambushed LuFisto from behind and a huge brawl broke out between both teams for several minutes until finally order was restored. It was a provincial battle between Team Ontario consisting of Leah Von Dutch and Kaitlin Diemond and led by Courtney Rush took on Team Quebec featuring Midianne and Bettie Rage and was led by Deziree. The two teams battled in a two out of three fall encounter for Canadian bragging rights.

There was early mind games as Midianne taunted Leah Von Dutch with her whistle and then having angered Von Dutch, Midianne decided that she wanted to lock up with Kaitlin Diemond. Just as Diemond entered the ring Midianne tagged out to the large and powerful Bettie Rage. The power house Rage took it right to Diemond and she drove power shots into her back and worked her into the corner and continued to smash Diemond with several more hard shots. Diemond withstood the brunt of the punishment and was able to tag in Von Dutch.

Von Dutch tried to use her speed and high flying offence on Rage and even though she got caught in a cross body block Von Dutch was able to drive Rage’s head into the mat with a huge DDT. A stunned Rage was able to make the tag but Von Dutch was just on too much of a roll as several moments later she had the overwhelmed Midianne in her patented Dutch Clutch. It was sunk in too deep and Midianne had no choice but to drop to the mat and eventually submit to this vicious hold. Team Ontario had the important first fall in their score column. The opening match of the evening was a dark match that saw a showdown between two rising Quebec stars as Diana Hall took on Zoey.  Zoey was not interested in gaining the support of the Quebec crowd as she chewed them out as she entered the ring.  Hall on the other hand used her dance music to get motivated and her energy got the crowd into the match.  This match saw a mixture of high flying,  a good exchange of wrestling holds and some good old fashioned fighting. In the end it was Diana Hall who dazed Zoey and rolled her up in a school girl pin and picked up the pin. (continue reading…)

Angie Skye3

Angie Skye took on Mia Yim in Shimmer 60 and the Quebec native was looking to continue her winning ways.  Skye would put up a tremendous battle but it just wasn’t enough as in the end Yim set Skye up and landed a beautiful 450 top rope splash to pick up the win.

Nicole Matthews3

British Columbia native Nicole Matthews was looking to get back to her winning ways when she took on Heidi Lovelace.  Matthews was definitely still surly from losing her previous bout and the fact that Madison Eagles came out and taunted her for losing.  Matthews would come to the ring and dump a large coffee all over a Madison Eagles t shirt to show her disgust for the Australian.  Lovelace looked to capitalize on the emotional state of Matthews and used her quickness and had the Canadian reeling throughout many points in the match.  However, Matthews took what Lovelace could dish out and turned the tables on her and eventually drove Lovelace down hard into the mat with Matthew’s patented Vancouver Manoeuvre finisher and picked up the three count.
