On Friday January 24, 2014 at the Orpheum in Ybor City, Florida, SHINE Wrestling 16 was held that saw two Canadians square off. The match featured former multi time Impact Wrestling Champion Angelina Love and Leah Von Dutch. There was a war of words between the two leading up to the bout as Von Dutch called Love “Grandmalina” and promised to retire her. Love responded by saying Von Dutch was disrespectful and was most certainly going to be taught a lesson.

a

(281)Before the contest could really get started Leah Von Dutch attacked Angelina Love from behind and started to beat her down to the mat. Angelina Love would halt LVD’s momentum with a kick in the gut. Love would follow up on her advantage by nailing Von Dutch with a running kneelift and two clotheslines. Angelina Love would go on to scoop Von Dutch up and execute a front slam and went for the cover but only got a one count.

a

(282)Von Dutch would scramble to the ring apron and kick Love away. Angelina Love would break through LVD’s attempted defence as she charged across the ring and baseball slides nailing Von Dutch and knocked her outside of the ring. Leah Von Dutch tried to make her way back into the ring but Love left the ring and went after her. Angelina Love grabbed Von Dutch and drove her head first off of the apron several times. On January 24, 2014 at Lake City Bowling & Billiards in Kelowna, British Columbia, Big West Wrestling held “Here We Go”. One of the most exciting matches on the card saw two arch nemesis clash in KC Spinelli and Riea Von Slasher. When last they met Spinelli was left unconscious in defeat and put in a body bag so revenge was definitely on her mind. This time however it was a tables match with an assortment of weapons including chairs and kendo sticks mixed in as well.

a

The match started out as expected with both women going to war both inside and outside of the ring. At one point Von Slasher tried to break Spinelli’s arm against the ring post. Moments later Von Slasher set a table up in the corner and position a wounded Spinelli against it looking to finish things with a epic running cannonball slam however Spinelli moved and Von Slasher crashed heavily through the table.

a

Spinelli then took the action outside of the ring as she grabbed a kendo stick and started to hammer away on Von Slasher with it. Mere seconds later Spinelli pulled Von Slasher to another table and tried to suplex her through it however she was able to block it. After a couple reversals that saw Von Slasher smashed face first into a cement wall it was Spinelli who was able to lay a dazed Slasher on top on the table. It looked all but over as Spinelli climbed back into the ring and climbed up to the top turnbuckle preparing to jump off and crash down onto the prone and barely conscious Von Slasher.

a

However, out of nowhere Cremator Von Slasher and his henchman grabbed Spinelli and threw her to the mat and proceeded to work her over and into unconsciousness eventually handcuffing her. A revived Von Slasher would drag Spinelli out of the ring and put her over her shoulders in a fireman’s carry and proceeded to kidnap KC Spinelli as she left the building with her.

On Friday January 17, 2014, in Duncan, British Columbia, VIPW (Vancouver Island Pro Wrestling) held “Winter Combat Tour”  that saw Riea Von Slasher finally get her hands on Bambi Hall after Hall had brutally attacked and knocked her out at the end 2013.  However, Hall would not come alone and was accompanied by Eddie Osbourne.

a

Von Slasher really took the fight to Hall but in the end could not overcome the outside interference by Osbourne.  In the matches final climactic moments Eddie Osbourne would hold down Von Slasher’s feet making her unable to kick out which allowed Hall to pick up the three count victory. Osbourne and Hall were bent on putting Von Slasher out of wrestling for good but luckily Cremator Von Slasher came out and thwarted their plans.  (continue reading…)

On Saturday January 18th, 2014 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, British Columbia, ECCW (Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling) held its first event of the new year called “Ballroom Brawl”.  This match saw reigning ECCW Women’s Champion Nicole Matthews team up with Andy Dreadful Bird in a 6 way Elimination Tag Team contest for the ECCW Tag Titles. The Bollywood Boyz were the champions going into the match and the other team involved were the Amerikan Guns, consisting of Mike Santiago and Ethan-HD.

a

In a shocker the Bollywood Boyz were eliminated first and throughout the match Andy and Nicole were dominant and it seemed as though they were destined to become the new tag champs however an old foe of Matthews appeared Kc Spinelli.  The former ECCW Women’s Champion managed to interfered and caused Nicole Matthews to get pinned.  Spinelli would grab the ECCW Women’s Championship belt and paraded around the ring bragging until Nicole Matthews regained her senses and unleashed hell on Spinelli which saw multiple referees try to break up this brawl.  Eventually Matthews would overpower Spinelli and drive her out of the ring.  Kc Spinelli was eventually dragged out of the ring by the referees kicking and screaming.

a

This rivalry has most definitely got more personal than ever as it was KC Spinelli who originally beat Nicole Matthews to win her first championship however several months later Nicole Matthews would defeat Spinelli and recapture her title.

a

These two women are set to square off on Saturday February 1st at the Russian Community Centre in Vancouver at ECCW’s “Return Of The King”  However a war of words has erupted on Twitter leading up to this classic confrontation:

a

KC Spinelli:  “Blah blah blah see you on the first, princess.”

Nicole Matthews:  “Bitch is dead”

KC Spinelli:  “U always be saying some shit “blah, blah blah” I don’t care who U R It only matters who I is #FixMyBelt

Nicole Matthews:  “You *is* a pretender.  And I talk shit? Real rich coming from you. Show up on Feb. 1st and show everyone you’re worth my time. I have my doubts.”

a

Wrestling fans if you are anywhere in the province of British Columbia of February first make sure to get your butts to Vancouver to watch this match as it will most assuredly be a mix of both technical wrestling and all out fighting but what cannot be disputed is that both of these women will bring all they have for their fans so don’t you dare miss it!
