Diemond vs Jasmin 15©Photographs By Tabercil

On Saturday April 19th, 2014, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, NCW Femmes Fatales held Femmes Fatales XIV and in the Battle Of Ontario match Ontario Top Team’s Kaitlin Diemond took on Jasmin, who was making her Femmes Fatales debut. It was evident at the outset of the match that Diemond had the strength advantage but the speed and agility advantage was with Jasmin. The match began with both women showing a lot of respect for the other but as the match progressed Ontario Top Team member Kaitlin Diemond was getting tired of Jasmin using her speed and agility to keep the advantage on her. At that point Diemond started to use illegal moves to turn the tide and in the end would roll Jasmin up near the ropes and grab onto them for extra leverage to get the tainted three count victory.

Power vs Skye 8

On Saturday April 19th, 2014, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, NCW Femmes Fatales held Femmes Fatales XIV and in the opening match of the evening Cat Power took on Quebec’s Angie Skye.  Before the match between Angie Skye and Cat Power, ring announcer Jean-Francois Kelly stated that due to an injury, Midianne would not be able to participate on the show and therefore, the winner of the Skye/Power match would get Midianne’s spot in the Femmes Fatales Championship match later in the evening.

Both wrestlers came out in full force at each other knowing that there was so much at stake now with the huge opportunity of getting to wrestle for the Femmes Fatales Championship later. It was Angie Skye who struck first as she attacked Cat Power from behind. This looked more like a high impact brawl as both women would use power moves in an attempt to smash their opponent into submission however in the end it was Angie Skye who caught Cat Power off guard with a Victory Roll and she held her tights and picked up the crucial three count victory.

On Saturday April 19th, 2014, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, NCW Femmes Fatales held Femmes Fatales XIV and in the preliminary bout of the evening Bettie Rage took on the always energetic and crowd favourite Diana Hall. However, Bettie Rage’s size and strength proved to be just too much for Hall to handle as her speed and high flying offence was countered and rejected by the power of Rage. In the end it was Bettie Rage who nailed Diana Hall with her devastating Rage Slam and picked up the three count. After the victory, Deziree came to the ring and got some cheap shots in on Hall to send a message to Mistress Belmont who was her opponent later in the event. (continue reading…)

Beauty Slammers conducted a special Q&A interview with the amazing Serena Deeb!  The clock is ticking down and we’re about to make history this Friday night in Windsor!

a

Q: With the advent of Beauty Slammers opening up the Canadian market of an all-female promotion, what does an effort such as this say about the significance of women in our sport?

A: Women in pro wrestling are certainly a unique attraction and add a wonderful variety to the otherwise very masculine aspects of this business. I have personally been involved long-term in some of the greatest all-women’s projects worldwide, most notably being Shimmer (Chicago) and Shine (Tampa) and I can vouche that there is a very distinct, yet loyal market for all-female wrestling. It allows for great diversity amongst the girls and truly embraces each girl’s unique character, looks, and wrestling talent. There will always be a market for women’s wrestling and when done correctly, it can be something very special. (continue reading…)

On Sunday April 13, 2014, from the Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL, one of the most anticipated matches on SHIMMER 66 was LuFisto vs Saraya Knight in a no DQ and no count out match after Knight had brutalized Peekabo at SHIMMER 65.  After a smash mouth back and forth war it was LuFisto who was able to defeat Knight after ring announcer Kevin Harvey punched Saraya Knight and then LuFisto hit her with a chair to secure the win.

And NEW Elite Womens Champion Leah Von Dutch echoed through boos at the Royal Canadian Legion in Clinton, Ontario on April 12th during the conclusion of the Beautiful Beaa/Leah Von Dutch match.

Beaa was stunned and as she came to the back room all she could say in her shock was I thought I kicked out.  I am sure I kicked out.

Leah Von Dutch came back smiling with her newly won prize.  I told you so where the first words out of her mouth.  Leah shook Lenny Lilac’s hand and went to her space in the room to bask in the joy of one of the biggest debuts in PWA history.

Commissioner Nicky Martin talked to the referee David McCombs about Beaa’s claim she kicked out and was told conclusively that he made the three count and then she kicked out.  Nick had a tape sent to him by the staff and it looks very very close.  How close?  Take a look.
