In the first weeks of June, Jewells Malone and Kaitlin Diemond competed in several matches against each other on the Legend City Wrestling tour that took place throughout Newfoundland.  These two competitors are no strangers to each other as they have battled across Ontario in the past.  This wrestling tour also included WWE Hall Of Famers Jake “The Snake” Roberts and the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase.

Wednesday June 4th, 2014 was Tim Hortons Camp Day which is held annually to raise money for underprivileged children to attend a summer camp in various locations across Canada.  CWF Pro Wrestling held an event in the Tim Hortons parking lot in St Catharines, Ontario to help raise even more money and attention for Camp Day.

Beautiful Beaa would defend her CWF Women’s Championship against #1 Contender Skylar Rose.  At the start of the match Rose stalled to fix her hair and once she finished that she then stalled even more as she began to stretch which enraged the champion Beautiful Beaa.  Eventually the two would lock up and Beautiful Beaa would hit Rose with a series of arm drags and then a big drop kick.  Skylar Rose bailed outside of the ring to try and regroup but Beautiful Beaa ran after her.  However, Rose would set Beaa up and smashed her knee into the champion’s face and then drove Beaa hard into the side of the ring.  When Rose looked to follow up on her advantage by using the ring post on Beaa the champ stopped Rose dead in her tracks by moving out of the way and Skylar Rose smacked the ring post instead. On Saturday May 31st, 2014, at the Alpine Club in Kitchener, Ontario, Pure Wrestling Association held “All or Nothing” which saw a huge PWA Women’s Championship rematch between reigning champion Leah Von Dutch and former champ Beautiful Beaa.  Their last match ended in controversial fashion as LVD hit a series of neckbreakers and went for the cover and it looked as though Beautiful Beaa got her shoulder up before three but the referee counted her out making LVD the new champion.  However, tonight both women wanted to put the controversy behind them and prove who the real champion is.

After Beautiful Beaa tried to get a quick roll up win at the bell it was all Leah Von Dutch who came out aggressive looking to dominate the former champion.  Von Dutch used chokes, scissors and brutal knees trying to take the fight out of Beaa.

However, LVD felt that she had to hedge her bets because when the referee was checking on Beautiful Beaa, Leah Von Dutch went to the corner and started to yank at the turnbuckle until the steel bolt underneath it was exposed. (continue reading…)

On Saturday May 31st, 2014, at the Alpine Club in Kitchener, Ontario, Pure Wrestling Association held “All or Nothing” that saw the triumphant return of Alexia Nicole to the PWA ring after being sidelined for several months with a shoulder injury and the fans gave her a rousing reception.  However, her opponent Skylar Rose planned to spoil her return and teach her a wrestling lesson in the process.

Rose v Alexia3Rose v Alexia4

The match started with Skylar Rose taunting Alexia Nicole about her height but she quickly found out that Alexia’s height did not effect her punching power as Rose got a smack up the side of the head for her bullying.  This smack seemed to knock some sense into Skylar Rose who took control early in the match with a mixture of impressive wrestling moves like a vertical suplex and out right cheap shots like flagrant kicks and chokes.  Skylar Rose almost put Alexia Nicole down for an early three count but Alexia battled through this early onslaught and rebounded with some offense of her own.

Alexia Nicole is very fast and agile with an explosive offensive arsenal as Skylar Rose found out as she nailed her with some clotheslines and karate kicks that really took its toll on Rose.  Alexia Nicole had Skylar Rose in serious trouble as she applied a back bridge submission hold and it looked as though Rose was mere seconds away from submitting however Ryan Swift had made his way out to ringside and got involved in the match which distracted Alexia Nicole. On Saturday May 31st, 2014 at the Sarnia Fairgrounds, Leah Von Dutch took on the #1 Contender Holly Madison for her CCW Women’s Championship.  Leah Von Dutch is currently the most decorated wrestler in Ontario and she planned to keep it that way.  After the initial lock up Leah Von Dutch was not satisfied with how things were going so she bailed out of the ring trying to slow the match down on Holly Madison.  This was a veteran move by LVD, making Holly Madison wrestle at her pace and her style of match.

Holly Madison would chase Von Dutch outside of the ring but when both competitors re-entered the ring Von Dutch would take control hitting Madison with some hard power shots and went on to choke her in the corner as well as apply a vicious scissors that had Holly Madison screaming in pain. On Sunday May 25th, 2014 in Austin, Texas, Inspire Pro Wrestling held “In Their Blood” which saw Canadian Portia Perez have the huge opportunity of wrestling for the NWA World Women’s Championship when she took in reigning champion Barbi Hayden.  The match started out in a respectful manner as a photo op was taken before the bell and both wrestlers shook hands.

a

Once the bell rang both women tried to prove who was the stronger between the two.  When neither Hayden or Perez could show an edge in physical strength a pose down took place between the two followed by a good old fashioned Greco Roman Knuckle Lock but once again neither woman could demonstrate the muscular dominance over the other.

The match then transitioned into a mixture of excellent technical wrestling and all out brawling both inside as well as outside of the squared circle which saw many near falls.  As the match went on neither woman started to fade and the tempo of the match was very high which had the fans on the end of their seats.
