It’s been over a decade since Laura Dennis was nothing more than a wide-eyed teenager, stepping into the squared circle for the first time.
Now, known throughout the pro wrestling world as Cherry Bomb, the former Londoner has come a long way.
“When I think back to when I first started, I was just 17,” she remembered. “I had never even played sports growing up and it was the most physically demanding thing that I’d ever experienced. At the beginning I had a lot of self-doubt and a lot of confidence issues. But when I started to get it, I fell in love with being able to do those things . . . eventually there I was, jumping off the top rope and flipping.
