a

North Starz.ca:  First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time for doing this interview Eve and I hope that you are doing well. My first question for you is why did you decide to become a professional wrestler? Have you always been a wrestling fan?

Eve:  I want to say thank you for giving me the chance to take a part in your interview and I really appreciate this opportunity!  When I was young, my father never missed a wrestling show and we wrestle together in the leaving room but when he passed away when I was 9 years old I just never wanted to talk about wrestling anymore.

However, my mom and I moved to a different city when I was 12 years old and I made new friends who loved wrestling too and asked me to go with them to wrestling training.  In addition to going to training I was invited to a wrestling show.  I was late to the show and when I finally got there it was the main event and it was amazing to the wrestlers and a guy put through a table and it was at that moment that I said to my friend ”I want to do that!!”  However, I was too young to begin the training so I copied the signature of my mother and I began training and never stopped!

a

North Starz.ca:  Wow! That is an amazing story!  With all your focus on wrestling what are some of your other hobbies and or interests outside of wrestling?

Eve:  I make charcoal canvas and I love reading books.  I have a library in my living room haha!  I love American Muscle cars so when I get the chance I go to car shows to look at them or go to car races.

a

eve6North Starz.ca:  Well you obviously have great taste in cars!  Training is vital in professional wrestling.  Can you tell me about where you trained to become a professional wrestler and the people who have supported you the most there so far in your wrestling career?

Eve:  I trained one year in Shawinigan, Québec with King Hammer and Rejean Desaulniers before I was able to go inside the ring but I stop wrestling for 4 years.  However, one day I met a girl who was my hairdresser Kathryn Von Goth and she talked to me about wrestling and told me that she wanted to try it.  I told her I was a wrestler before but now it’s done for me and she asked me if she could train and if I could do a match with her.  It was to be just one match but I never stopped after that match and it is because of her and her boyfriend that for I stayed in the wrestling world.

a

North Starz:  Well thankfully you gave wrestling another chance.  Is there any wrestlers that you look up to or are your inspiration?

Eve:  Yes, Chyna is my inspiration, she was a pioneer for women’s wrestling.  She was a tough and beautiful woman who reached so many goals in her life in a man’s world. I can talk about her for so many hours I just loved this women!

a

eve1North Starz.ca:  Chyna was an amazing athlete and I can see how she would be an inspiration and it is a shame that she died at such a young age.  My next question is can you reflect back and tell me about the emotions that you had when you stepped into the ring for your first professional wrestling match?

Eve:  Stressed, scared but so excited! My mom was in the crowd and looked at me like “yes my girl you got it, finally after so many sacrifices and injuries, you got it.” When I passed through the curtains I just said to myself “ok let’s go, you can’t go back now!” The match took place at a fair with over 1000 people on the beach in the hot sun.  It was so rough ha ha but we got through it!

a

North Starz.ca:  How would you describe your wrestling style and what are some of your best holds and most devastating moves?

Eve:  I think my style is strong and powerful.  I don’t want to be a diva.  I want to prove the girls can wrestled just like the men and I want to prove that I can wrestle like a man and prove that I can take it like a man too.

a

eve5North Starz.ca:  After watching some of your matches I can definitely say that you are a strong and powerful wrestler and could compete against men inside the ring without a doubt.  With that being said what is your finishing move and why did you decide to choose it?

Eve:  My finishing move is the Package Piledriver because it is a big move and it looks so incredible and so damaging! I think the person who can take my finisher the best is Stacy Thibault haha she’s a tough girl!

a

North Starz.ca:  I have seen your Package Piledriver and there is no wrestler who would be able to kick out of that.  However, thus far in your career who has been your toughest opponent that you have faced? What are your personal feelings about them?

Eve:  It would have to be Lufisto, it was my dream match so I was so stressed! However, she is so sweet and she makes you feel so comfortable. She is a rough girl and our matches go great.  She has so much experience and she can make you feel very confident with yourself.  It is most difficult to wrestled with your idol because you don’t want to disappoint her. She can both take and give the hits! I love that!

a

North Starz.ca:  Is there anything that you would like to say to wrestling fans?

Eve:  If you want to be a wrestler and it’s your dream just let go and do it and don’t let people try to stop you. You will meet so many people who want to stop you but don’t listen these people.  Just keep continuing for yourself and for what you are training so hard for to accomplish your dream.  Keep focused, keep training and continue to wrestle good matches and never forget to take care of the fans.  The fans are everything, the fans make you, the fans make your character alive! Never let someone or something put you down and continue what you love!

a

eve2North Starz.ca:  That is a very inspirational and positive outlook to have.  What are your thoughts on the women’s independent professional wrestling scene in Canada?

Eve:  We have so many good talented women in Canada but it’s hard for Quebec girls to have exposure.  We need to travel very far and travel alone. The wrestling in Quebec is not as popular as it is in USA or Mexico.

a

North Starz.ca:  What are your wrestling related goals heading into 2017?

Eve:  I really want to be a part of the Shimmer shows and maybe travel to Mexico to wrestle! For so many people their dream is to reach the WWE but for me Shimmer and Mexico is my dream! When I was 15 years old I was watching wrestling from Mexico and said to myself “one day I’ll be there!” and I continue to work really hard to get there.

a

North Starz.ca:  Thank you so much for doing this interview.  It was fascinating to learn about you and what a positive outlook you have and the dedication you give to the sport of professional wrestling.  I would like to wish you the very best and I really hope that I get to watch you at a Shimmer over or see you wrestle in Mexico one day.

Eve:  Thank you very much!!
